ICAR-CISH, Lucknow celebrated National Girls child Day, with active participation of young school going girls from Village Kasmandi Kala, at Institute’s premises on January 24, 2022. All the women employees/ SRF/ Contractual staff were invited to attend this program.

On this occasion, Dr. Neelima Garg, Director ICAR-CISH highlighted about health and education for Girls and also to address the inequalities, which are generally face by the girls in the Society. She also exhorted the girls to be independent and upskill themselves with all knowledge and know-how. Dr. Abha Singh (Principal Scientist) delivered a lecture on Nutritional Requirements of adolescent Girls. The girls also participated in a drawing competition which was organized at this juncture. The drawing kits were distributed during the felicitation program. The young girls expressed their happiness on visiting the institute. The program was conducted by Dr. Anju Bajpai and supported by the SCSP project.
